Membership Community and Learning Hub for Professionals
Overview
We partnered with To Connect to shape a hybrid membership community and learning hub for professionals — a place where the network is the primary product and the learning content sits inside it, instead of the other way around.
The Challenge
Most professional learning platforms put courses at the centre and treat community as an afterthought tab nobody opens. The opposite happens to most paid communities, where the network is alive but the learning is thin. To Connect needed to live in the gap: a membership where conversations, peers, and rooms are the gravity, and where the courses, sessions, and content layered on top extend the relationship rather than replacing it.
Our Solution
We designed To Connect around the moment a member walks in. Onboarding surfaces relevant peers, threads, and rooms within the first session, so the network feels populated before any content is consumed. Discovery patterns spotlight active conversations, high-signal contributors, and upcoming events at the moments members are most likely to drop in. Learning content — sessions, cohorts, libraries — is integrated into community surfaces rather than walled off, so a member's path through a topic naturally crosses paths with the people working on the same thing. The product tone reads as warm, curated, and intentionally selective rather than generic.
The Results
To Connect now feels alive from the first session and worth coming back to on the second. Members find the right conversations faster, contribute earlier, and move through learning content with the social context that makes it stick. The redesign gave the platform a foundation for community-led growth — a product where members invite the next ones in because the network finally pays them back for showing up.
